Review

This was a very interesting read about the rise and fall of Molly Bloom who is often dubbed the “Poker Princess”.  While I don’t condone her underground gaming operation, I do have to give her kudos for being clever and entrepreneurial Even after she was shut down and gone to trial, she managed to get herself a book deal! In this book, Bloom tells her story, in unvarnished truth.  She relates how she went from being a 26-year-old cocktail waitress to a woman who built an empire by running a private weekly poker game for some of Hollywood’s highest rollers.  She gives the reader and inside look at what went on behind very private doors when billionaires, financiers, pro athletes and Hollywood elite who turned up at the underground poker games she organized, which sometimes had $2 million in play.  She names names and tells lively stories.  You will get the skinny on many of your favorite stars.  All in all, this was an entertaining read.
